Peshawar - NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa filed a reference of Rs7.75 billion against Afzal Khaliq alias Double Shah of A.K. Forex Private Limited Wah Cantt who in the garb of Islamic mode of financing Mudariba and Musharika business allegedly cheated public at large and looted billions of rupees from innocent people fraudulently through his agents.
 As per details, the accused Afzal Khaliq Double Shah (KP) a teacher in a private primary school in Doaba district Hangu in connivance with other co-accused cheated public at large. Accused used 139 agents to lure and collect money from general public in the grab of fictitious Mudariba company namely A.K Forex.  The accused deprived 3,540 people (so far) from their hard earned money amounting to Rs7.75 billion. NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had already frozen the property of Afzal Khaliq Double Shah (KP) amounting to Rs1.5 billion.  In the instant case, NAB KP has also arrested Sibt-ul-Hasan Gilani alias Double Shah of Punjab, Wajid Hasan Gilani and Imran Gul on charges of connection in the illegal business. More affectees are approaching the Bureau and a supplementary reference of Rs4.00 billion will also be filed soon.
Paraplegic Centre’S HayaRabad services lauded
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Finance Muzaffar Said Advocate while lauding the performance of Paraplegic Centre Hayatabad Peshawar has said that the centre was providing exemplary treatment and rehabilitation services to the ailing humanity.
This he said while giving away gratuity cheques to the employees of paraplegic centre at Hayatabad, Peshawar on Wednesday. Chairman Paraplegic Centre Ziaur Rahman and Chief Executive Dr Syed M Ilyas were also present on the occasion. The minister on this occasion handed over cheques to the employees of the centre for their long and exemplary services at the centre.
Muzaffar said that the paraplegic centre was providing quality health care services to the helpless paraplegic patients despite its meagre resources.  “Attitudes of the staff of the centre with patients are highly cordial and appreciable,” he asserted.  
He deplored the negligence towards the welfare of disabled persons in the society. He went on to say that in western countries a lot of care was given to the disabled persons.
The minister urged the need of proper attention towards the ailing and disabled members of the society. “Following the teachings of Islam, we can make the society developed and prosperous,” he maintained.
The minister assured all-out support in up-gradation and further extension of the treatment in rehabilitation services of the paraplegic centre. He also announced to increase annual budget of the centre from 60 million to 100 million on the occasion.

Earlier, Chief Executive Paraplegic Centre Dr Syed Muhammad Ilyas briefed the Minister about the performance of various sections of the centre.
