ISLAMABAD - Nigeria has showed interest in getting technical support for their defence industry from Pakistan.     
This was stated by Principal Secretary to the President of Nigeria Hassan Tukur during his meeting with Minister for Defence Production Rana Tanveer Hussain in Rawalpindi on Wednesday. He called for opening avenues of Pak-Nigeria joint production.
Rana Tanveer Hussain said Pakistan will extend all-out help to support Nigeria in fighting terrorism and extremism in their country. “Pakistan will extend all-out help to support Nigeria in fighting terrorism and extremism in their country. Pakistan is itself fighting a war on terror and in this regard we fully understand that trainings and technical support will be needed to fight terror in Nigeria,” said Rana Tanveer Hussain. He said the Nigerian brothers will be given all help and support to build their defence industry. “Pakistan has some very good aircrafts, ships, petrol boats and communication equipment being produced at the state of the art defence industry and we will not only provided  to Nigeria but also look towards joint ventures as requested by the Nigerians,” he added. Pakistan thanked Nigerians for participating in IDEAS-2014 and the meeting proved fruitful in exploring areas of defence cooperation.
