Quetta- Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has vowed, to weed out terrorism at all costs for peace and security in the country.

Addressing the passing-out parade of first batch of Baluchistan's Counter- Terrorism Force in Quetta today, he said protection of lives and properties of the people is our foremost priority. We will not rest till the homeland is completely purged of the curse of terrorism, he said.

He said the war on terrorism which has been expanded to the entire country, will continue till its logical conclusion. He said we have to win this war at all costs, as it is the matter of the survival of our future generations and economic stability of the country. He said establishment of counter terrorism force in provinces is manifestation of our firm determination against the menace. This force is being equipped with latest arms and weapons, to enhance their capacity.

Earlier, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif today attend passing-out parade of Baluchistan’s Counter-Terrorism Force (CTF) in Quetta.

Governor Baluchistan Muhammad Khan Achakzai, Chief Minister Balochistan Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch, Baluchistan Home Minister Sarfaraz Bugti and other high officials of provincial government, FC, police and Pakistan Army.

It was first ever batch of the CTF passing out from Quetta’s counter terrorism training academy.

The batch, comprising 200 commandos including 18 lady constables, received 30-day training from Pakistan Army at the academy.

The passing out soldiers also carried out mock exercises displaying their capabilities against terrorists.

On the occasion, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Army Chief Raheel Sharif distributed awards and certificated to the best trainees of the batch.

Yesterday, PM Nawaz Sharif arrived in Quetta on his two-day visit during which he reviewed implementation of National Action Plan (NAP) aimed at ridding the country of militancy and terrorism.
