KAMALIA-The funeral of Naik Saeed Ahmed, who was martyred in firing by unidentified suspects in Quetta, was offered at his hometown here the other day.
The martyr had been performing duty in the army for nine years. He was scheduled to marry after four months. His funeral was offered at 736 G/B village. A large number of people including Awami League Riaz president Fatyana, Kamalia AC Hafiz Najeeb and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf tehsil president Dr Zafar Iqbal Jakhar attended his funeral.
Later, the martyr was laid to rest in the cemetery of Chak 740 G/B with full military honours. His brothers - Sajjad Ahmed and Junaid Iqbal - told the media that they were proud of their brother's martyrdom. "We are not disappointed. We haven't lost hope. The entire nation supports Pak Army in war against terrorism. We appeal to Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa that the war against terrorism should continue until the elimination of all terrorists," they said.
Captain Ahmed and Assistant Commissioner Hafiz Najeeb also laid flower wreaths on the grave of the martyr.
