Emir JUI Islamabad Chapter, Maulana Abdul Hameed Hazarvi said that the Aurat March was against the norms and values of Islam.
While addressing Youm e Hijab protest observed by the JUI women wing, Abdul Hameed Hazarvi stated that they will never allow immodesty in disguise of women rights.
Meanwhile, addressing the Youm e Hijab protest, Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri said that the Indian Muslims were fighting for the defence of Hijab in India.
He said that the lives of Muslim minorities in India were made miserable by the Modi government, saying that Modi regime had distorted the secular face of India by putting curbs on basic rights of Muslims.
Criticising the silence of global human rights organizations, Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri said that the silence of so-called human rights organizations over the Indian brutalities against the Muslims was unimaginable.
He demanded the human rights organizations to wake up and take action against Modi regime for its atrocities against Muslims.
The JUI woman leader and Member of National Assembly (MNA) Shahida Akhtar, while addressing Youm e Hijab protest said that Hijab was a pride for them, saying that Muskan, a teenager who stood against the Hindu extremists was a hero for the Muslim world.
Shahida Akhtar said that Hijab should not be targeted, saying that Hijab was not a social obligation but a part of religion.
She demanded the government to take up the Hijab issue on the platform of Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) urgently.
