KARACHI - Jamaat-e-Islami Chief Qazi Hussain Ahmed on Sunday demanded of the Government of Pakistan to provide military support to Palestine to end the cruelties of the Zionist state Israel. Addressing the massive "Palestine March" at Tibet Centre, he demanded of the Government to send Pakistan Army in Palestine to protect innocent Palestinians from the Israeli aggression saying that the weapons and military power of the country was the treasure of Muslim Ummah. He condemned the role of United Nations, United States, western countries and Muslim world including Arab countries over their silence against the massacre of people of Gaza at the hands of Jewish state. "Palestine March" was commenced from Numaish Chowrangi in which thousands of Karachiites participated holding flags of Palestine JI, IJT, Shabab-e-milli and Pasban. Protestors were also carrying placards and banners on which anti Israel statements were written. The protestors also expressed solidarity with the people of Palestine including Hammas and torched U.S. and Israeli flags and effigy of the US president Bush and Israeli Prime Minister Olmert to mark their strong protest against the Israeli aggression on Gaza. JI chief Qazi Hussain Ahmed urged the Government of Pakistan to allow the Pakistani people to join Jehad in Gaza against Israel. Criticising the role of Muslim and Arab rulers, he pinpointed that they had captured the entire Muslim world for the interest of US and Israel. Referring to the ongoing violent situation of the country, he said that if the Government left the coalition with United States, the ongoing violence in the country would come to an end. Speaking on the occasion, JI Central General Secretary Munawar Hassan regretted over the role of Egypt, Palestinian Authority president Mehmood Abbas, and Saudi Arabia who did not attend the Doha summit held against the Israeli aggression on innocent people of Gaza. He said that only 13 out of 22 countries of Arab League attended the Doha summit. He said that across the Muslim world non-state actors were serving for the education, health and all the departments for the Ummah because the State actors of the Muslims states were not doing any thing for their people. However, ITP leader Maulana Nazir Abbas, JI Karachi chief Mohammad Hussain Mehanti, JUP leader Siddique Rathor, JUI leader Aslam Ghori, MJAH leader Maulana Afzal Sardar, Jeya Sindh Leader Qamar Bhatti and Shuja-uddin also addressed the rally.
