ISLAMABAD Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani ordered immediate deletion of the names of some Baloch Sardars including Attaullah Mengal, Akhtar Mengal and Khair Bukhsh Mari from Exit Control List when PPP MNA Abdul Ghani Talpur raised the issue on a point of order in the National Assembly on Monday and urged the Government to remove their names from ECL. Soon after the member took his seat, Prime Minister rose to his seat and expressed his ignorance about it and said that he was not aware of it and directed the Minister for Interior Rehman Malik to immediately delete their names from the list. Just a few minutes later, Rehman Malik rushed to the House and informed the Chair that the orders of Prime Minister were complied with and the names of all the Baloch Sardars were removed from ECL. Earlier on a point of order, PPP MNA Abdul Ghani Talpur said that like other Pakistanis, all Baloch nationalists were patriots and the Government was casting doubts on their patriotism by placing their names on ECL. He asked the Government to drop the names of Veteran Sardars and their family members from the ECL list.
