Complete ban has been imposed on pillion riding in Karachi from midnight Sunday for seven days. The ban was imposed in view of the current law and order situation in the metropolis. Keeping in view the recent target killings, the notification was issued by Sindh home department. For the past few months, the police have been in dire straits, hence this law would make life a bit easier for our police force to restore peace in Karachi. Karachi police have also introduced aerial surveillance, spot checking and patrolling. I appeal to all the Karachiites to extend their cooperation with Karachi police for restoring peace to the city. Those who do not follow the rule of law should be punished heavily. FAHED SAEED
