Projects of Rs4.60b approved in Punjab

LAHORE - The Punjab government on Saturday approved four development schemes with an estimated cost of Rs 4.605 billion.
These schemes were approved in the 26th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party of current fiscal year 2013-14 presided over by the PPDB Chairman, Muhammad Irfan Elahi. Provincial Secretary P&D Arif Anwar Baloch, all members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant provincial departments also attended the meeting.
According to Spokesman P&D, the approved development schemes included:  Capacity Building of DGM&E For Improved Project Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation of Development Projects in Punjab (Revised) at the cost of Rs.123.766 million, Construction of Bridge Over River Chanab at Bhowana Including Approaches District Chiniot of Length 15.37 km at the cost of Rs. 2259.078 million, Installation of Biogas Supplemented Agriculture Tube Wells for Irrigation Purpose In Punjab at the cost of  Rs. 1946.520 million and Small House-Cum Garden Plots for Eradication of Poverty in Punjab (Pilot Project) Phase-I at the cost of Rs. 275.543 million.
