PESHAWAR  - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inspector General of Police Nasir Khan Durrani has awarded Nowshera police officials on recovering a 7-year-old boy within 24 hours and arresting all the kidnappers involved in the case. The ceremony was held at CPO Peshawar yesterday.

According to details, the other day a seven-year-old Ali Raza, a grand son of Falak Trader in Pabbi was abducted for ransom from a bazaar in Pabbi Nowshera while he was on his way to his school. The kidnappers were demanding were Rs50 million as ransom money. Soon after Ali was kidnapped, a police team was constituted. After conducting a thorough investigation the police with the help of timely provided CDRs/Real time location cellular forensic succeeded in catching one of the suspects Ayaz who helped them arrest another man involved in it identified as Imran.

The police eventually recovered Ali from a town Jaroba near FR Peshawar and also arrested the remaining three kidnappers along with ammunition and vehicle used in the incident.

The kidnappers are trying to shift the abductees to tribal area.

Addressing on the occasion, IGP Nasir Khan Durrani highly appreciated the in time prompt action of the Nowshera police team. The IGP informed that kidnapping for ransom was a big challenge and directed the police to thwart every attempt of the kidnappers by using the modern computerised techniques and equipments.

They were further directed to put their best in line duty by exhibiting valour and courage against the outlaws and God Almighty will definitely pave the way for achieving the desired results.

The IGP awarded DSP Pabbi Adnan Azam, SHO Pabbi Sub Inspector Saleem Khan, Sub Inspector Muhammad Hanif, ASI Shahid Khan, ASI Irfan Khan, Head Constable Saveed Ali and DSB Constable Saeedullah with cash prizes and commendation certificates. DPO Nowshera Wahid Mehmood and Principal Staff Officer to IGP Muhammad Afzal were also present on this occasion.
