OKARA - A seminary teacher was booked on the charge of raping a nine years old girl in Basit Town.

Qari Abdul Malik of Thatha Jhedu used to teach children in the house of Asif. Previous evening he directed the children to leave but asked the victim to stay as she had not learnt her lesson. Then he bolted the door and raped the girl. The girl’s cries were attended by the neighbourers and they reached the site. The accused escaped issuing threats.

MAN BURNT TO DEATH

A young man was burnt in the house fire erupted on account of short-circuit in Rahman Colony.

Atif was working in the room of his house when the fire erupted. He also received serious burns and died. The family resides abroad. The fire burnt to ashes the domestic articles amounting to millions of rupees. The B Division police handed over the corps of Atif to his relatives.
