People would like to know the difference between line fault and load shedding. They think that a line fault is because of inefficiency of WAPDA while the load shedding is because of bad planning by the Ministry of Power. There was no load shedding last year, certainly not of this magnitude, so why so this year? People are told that 40% of electricity is stolen in Lahore and 50% in Karachi. We would like to know what our government is doing in this respect? At times load shedding and line faults come together causing break downs of well over two hours. When that happens, it is pure agony for the poor people. If its load shedding, the light comes right on time. When the poor public sees their power minister all dressed up in expensive designer suits with matching ties, it hurts because he has taken the shirt off their backs. -COL (Retd) R.M.
