KARACHI - Interior Advisor Rehman Malik the MQM leader Altaf Hussain have discussed rapidly deteriorating situation of law and order in the country especially in tribal areas, ongoing political instability and economic crises. According to a press release issued on Friday, both leaders held a three-hour long meeting at the MQM International Secretariat in London. In the meeting, Altaf Hussain said that Pakistan was facing a critical situation first time in its history and added that due to growing terrorism in the tribal areas, country has reached the verge of instability. He warned that Pakistan would have to suffer irreparable losses if the government could not control the prevailing situation in the border areas of the country. MQM leader expressed his deep concern over the growing threat of Talibanization in Karachi. Speaking on the occasion, Rehman Malik vowed the government would not surrender to a handful of terrorist elements and would take stern action against those who challenge the writ of government. Altaf Hussain said that MQM has already announced its unconditional support to the government to save the country. Rehman Malik appreciated the MQM policy of reconciliation in the present critical situation of the country.
