A child has been killed and several people injured when two overspeeding buses collided with each other near northern bypass here on Saturday. According to the reports, a Quetta bound bus has collided with another bus coming from Panjur in Lagi Chari area at northern bypass near Jamia Farooqia. A child has been killed and 31 people injured in the accident. Twenty-two injured were shifted to Murshidabad Hospital among which four reported in a critical state. They were later shifted to Karachi. Earlier, contradictory reports were received about the accident. Chippa sources claimed that 10 were killed and several injured whereas according to Abdul Sattar Edhi of Edhi Foundation, 11 were people were killed and as many injured in the accident.
