LAHORE - City District Government has decided to launch operation against the sale of LPG at higher rates from Saturday (today). CDG has fixed the wholesale price of LPG at Rs 58 per kilogram and that retails at Rs 64 per kg. CDG has also nominated officers for monitoring the production and sale of LPG at 28 factories. These officers will submit the report on daily basis to the DCO Lahore. District Officer Environment Tariq Zaman Khan will monitor the operation against retailers and performance of 28 monitoring officers. These decisions were taken at a meeting held here on Friday with DCO Sajjad Ahmed Bhutta in the chair. CDG and town officials, representatives of companies and distributors attended the meeting. Sajjad Ahmed Bhutta directed the officials to register cases against illegal decanting of LPG and sale and manufacturing of substandard cylinders in the City. He directed the DO Environment to ensure display of rate lists at retail outlets in the City. He made it clear that the licenses of those companies involved in the sale of LPG outside Lahore would be cancelled. 'High jump' to be staged Play 'High jump' would be staged at Alhamra Hall, Shahrah-e-Quaid-e-Azam on July 26. It is written and directed by M Sharif and co-directed by Qaiser Javed and a presentation of the Lahore Arts Council. The play is a family and comedy drama. The cast includes Anwar Ali, Hamid Rana, Mujahid Abbas, Mehwish, Khalid Moin Butt, Zahid Ali, Sonia Ansari, Rimsha, Humaira Asghar and Rashid Ali.
