London - Pakistan International Airline Flight PK-791 that arrived in Birmingham the other day, collided with an oil tanker during re-fuelling that caused damage to its engine no 1 and protective fence. Due to the incident, passengers had to suffer hardships and another plane from Pakistan reached there to replace it. Talking to TheNation on Friday, PIA Station Manager Sajidullah said that a shell oil tanker was heading towards plane for its re-fuelling when the plane collided with it due to mistake of driver. All the passengers were outside and staff was busy in cleaning the plane, he added. Sajidullah informed PIA higher authorities about the incident who sent engineers to Birmingham. The plane was grounded and engineers are busy in estimating the loss suffered due to collision. According to sources, passengers may have lost their lives if they would have been on board at the time of collision.
