The standing committee of Senate has summoned former Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz on August 23 over financial irregularities. A meeting of Senate's standing committee for social welfare and special education presided by Senator Enver Baig was held here that took the notice of financial irregularities in " Tawana Pakistan" program and summoned former Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz and former federal ministers on August 23. The committee has informed that the PC-I of Tawana Pakistan program for supplying food and medicines to 530,000 students was incomplete. Former secretary for social welfare and special education Aleem Mahmood said that in some areas, no school was existed and the program was halted twice due to irregularities on massive scale. The committee took the serious notice of financial irregularities and summoned former Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, former federal ministers and secretaries on August 23 for clarification.
