Commanders review security situation

ISLAMABAD - Chief of the Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani Saturday chaired the 120th Corps Commanders Conference that took stock of the external and internal security situation. According to ISPR, the conference held at the General Headquarters (GHQ) was part of a regular monthly meeting where the participants were briefed about the external and internal security situation and measures to improve it. COAS in his opening remarks dilated upon various issues related to national security and current challenges. He also expressed his satisfaction over the ongoing process of smooth, peaceful and safe return of Malakand IDPs. He appreciated the efforts of all those involved in the resettlement of the IDPs. Kayani paid rich tributes to the sacrifices of officers and men during the operation in Malakand and FATA. He also appreciated the high morale and dedication of the officers and men who are engaged in fighting the menace of terrorism and extremism in the country. COAS expressed satisfaction over the conduct of the Army War Games, code named Exercise AZAM-E-NAU, being participated by senior officers of the Army and Air Force.
