ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani sent an advice to the President to allow the provinces to process draft Provincial Governments Acts, 2009 and make enabling amendments in their Local Government Ordinances for the dissolution of local govts. Gilani also advised for appointing govt officers as caretakers to perform the local govt functions till the time the provincial governments take a decision in the matter. The advice was sent in line with the decision of the meeting chaired by the PM on July 8; which was also attended by the representatives of the four provincial govts.
