The life in Karachi is returning to normalcy on Sunday mroning after the downpour last night. The rainwater receding from the key roads of the metropolis and the people stranded in the rainfall have reached to homes though the power breakdown continued in the most localities of Karachi. Karachi has overall received 55 milimeter rainfall, the met department said. The Met office recorded maximum rain of 75 millimetres (mm) at its Karachi airport observatory, while 51 mm rainfall recorded at Gulistan-e-Jauhar. The low-lying areas submerged under the rainwater due to the heavy rainfall. The residents were pumping out the water on self help. All main roads of the city came under the water, while the water of Lyari River entered in some residential areas. The water has also gathered at some underpasses but the situation returning to normalcy after the efforts of the City Nazim.
