ISLAMABAD - Capital Police have arrested seven accused and recovered 1,120 gram hashish, 235 gram heroin, two 30 bore pistols, one 12 bore gun along with 15 cartridges while police also arrested 10 suspected persons. According to details, on the directives of SSP Tahir Alam Khan, Islamabad Police arrested seven accused. Ghulam Rasool, Sub Inspector of Aabpara Police Station, has arrested two accused Javed Massih and Rafaqat Massih and recovered 12 bottles liquor from their possession. Irshad Ahmad, Sub Inspector of Kohsar Police Station during patrolling arrested accuses Abdul Rahman and recovered one 12 bore gun along with five cartridges. Ghulam Sarwar, ASI of Industrial Area Police Station, arrested accused Saleemullah and recovered one 30 bore pistol along with two cartridges from him. Laldin, Sub Inspector of Tarnol Police Station, arrested two accused and recovered 1,220 gram hashish and 235 gram heroin from their possession. Talib Hussain, ASI of Nilor Police Station, arrested one accused namely Shahid Mehmood and recovered one 30 bore pistol along with eight cartridges from his possession. Cases have been registered against the accused and further investigation was under way. Meanwhile - SSP Traffic Dr Sultan Azam Taimuri urged the officials of Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) to enhance their performance so that the road users could feel more secure while driving. The SSP Traffic stated this while addressing the ceremony organised for ITP team, which was tasked to remove the unauthorised bazaar from the G-8 Sector. According to details, complaints against the unauthorised car bazaar at G-8 Sector was received, therefore, the SSP Traffic Dr Sultan Azam Temuri formed an ITP team to remove such illegal bazaar from the area. The team succeeded in removing such unauthorised bazaar, which was highly appreciated by the dwellers and trader community of G-8 Sector. The car dealers and other traders announced cash reward for ITP team.
