KARACHI - The Karachi Board of Secondary Education on Thursday declared the result of Secondary School Certificate PART II in which the girls outshone boys by getting top three positions.
The result of annual examination 2013, for private and regular aspirants, announced by board chairman Fasihuddin Khan at a ceremony held in honour of the topers.
Hifza Binte Qamar of the Iqra Hafaz Girls Secondary School secured first position with 776 marks, followed by Hafiza Aisha Ilyas of the same school with 765 marks and Tooba Imran of the Mama Baby Care Children Garden School with 756 marks.
Talking to the media, Controller Examination Noman Ahsan claimed that the results had been prepared with computerised transparency. Now the results cannot be tampered.
In the examination, a total of 27,766 regular and private aspirants were registered for the examination out of which 25,470 appeared and 16,935 candidates declared successful with 60.99 percentage. As many as 12,903 regular students declared to be passed with 63.53 percentage, while 4032 private candidates declared to be passed with 54.08 percentage.
About 282 regular and 11 private candidates secured A+ grade, about 1521 regular and 231 private candidates obtained A grade, 3237 regular and 1083 private students secured B, 4702 regular and 1693 private obtained C grade, 2953 regular and 933 private got D while 208 regular and 81 private candidates attained E grade in the examination.
