LAHORE - Punjab Anti Corruption Establishment DG Brig (r) Muzaffar Ali Ranjha has directed the department to finalise all high profile cases within one month.

Senior officers and Regional Directors from across the Punjab participated in the meeting yesterday.

An ACE spokesman said that DG Ranjha also ordered the inquiry officers to finalise probe against health and education departments and provide justice to the general public. He asked the masses to contact him directly if they have any problem with government officials.

The newly-appointed DG also warned officers of stern action if any complaint received against them.

swindler held: The FIA immigration authorities yesterday arrested an accused for his alleged involvement in minting money from Umrah pilgrims.

Zameer Haider landed from Abu Dhabi and was wanted to Chakwal police in a fraud case. As per police, the accused had defrauded Umrah pilgrims up to the tune of Rs1.2 million and he was proclaimed offender for the last six month. The accused had fled abroad after cheating peoples.

On his return from Abu Dhabi, Haider was arrested at Lahore airport and was later on handed over to Chakwal police.
