LAHORE - The Young Doctors Association Punjab has announced to dissociate itself from founding president Dr Hamid Butt and three other senior members.
YDA president Dr Tajjamal Chaudhry said that it was not his personal but the collective decision of the community in the last general council. Differences between the present leadership and the founding president were circulating on social media for the last many months.
The General Council yesterday formally approved dissociation of founding president Dr Hamid Butt, Dr Mian Adnan, Dr Zahid Sarfraz and Dr Asif Hussain from the medics’ body.
Dr Tajammal Chaudhry said that some people were tarnishing the image of YDA through negative campaign on social media. He said that the issue was brought to the general council.
