Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Punjab, Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan has decided to step down from her post. 

Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan has decided to resign in order to take part in the by-elections in PP-38, as per the sources divulged on Monday.

The PP-38 seat fell vacant after PML (N) MPA Khush Akhtar Subhani passed away.

It is to note that the by-poll is scheduled to be held on July 28.

A statement issued by Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan has revealed that she has taken this decision in order to fully participate in the by-election campaign in Sialkot.
