KARACHI (APP) - Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) has awarded contracts for supply of 140,000 metric tons of wheat to two lowest bidders at a rate of $ 399.45 per ton. According to TCP here Wednesday, they are M/s Exim International BV Netherlands for 100,000 MT and M/s Agrocorp International for 40,000 MT. TCP has received 15 bids in response to its tender of May 14, 2008 for 250,000 MT of wheat at offer price ranging from $ 399.45 to $ 520.83 and lowest was from M/s Exim International Netherlands. The tender was opened on June 14, 2008 at TCP head office and counter offers were given to all bidders to match the lowest offered price. Only one bidder matched the lowest offer of $ 399.45 for 40,000 MT of wheat. TCP said  awards to both  the bidders have been made for July shipment.
