ISLAMABAD A meeting of the Implementation Commission on 18th Amendment was held on Friday under the chairmanship of Advisor to Prime Minister Senator Mian Raza Rabbani and the various amendments were discussed in detail that would follow in the Rules of Procedure of Federal Government as a consequence of omission of Concurrent List. The Commission also discussed the effect of the omission of the Concurrent List on the functions of various Federal Ministries. The Commission provided the policy guidelines for the implementation of the process of devolution to the provinces of the items mentioned in the Concurrent List. The next meeting of the Commission would be held on 29th of this month. The meeting was attended by Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Deputy Chairman Implementation Commission Syed, Naveed Qamar, Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources, Justice (R) Abdul Razzaq A. Thahim, Federal Minister for Local Government and Rural Development, Dr. Muhammad Farooq Sattar, Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis, Senator Rehmatullah Kakar, Federal Minister for Housing and Works, Senator Afrasiab Khattak and Senator Dr. Abdul Malik. The Federal Secretaries, Secretary Establishment, Secretary Finance, Secretary Cabinet, Secretary IPC and Senior Joint Secretary, Ministry of Law also attended the meeting.
