ISLAMABAD Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik has received fresh life threats from Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) over his bold stance against militancy. Talking to media persons here on Friday outside the Parliament House, Rehman Malik confirmed the life threats by TTP and said that he was not afraid of death and reiterated that Pakistan would be cleansed from the menace of terrorism at any cost. Im not afraid of Taliban threats, they are not Muslims as their acts are un-Islamic, Malik added. The Interior Minister said that the Government would not bow down before such threats of the Taliban and it could not stop the incumbent Government from the determination to eradicate the terrorism. He said that the Government wanted to see books in the hands of kids rather than weapons, and the new generation should be provided with pens and books and not with weapons. He lauded the sacrifices rendered by the Pakistan Army and the law enforcing agencies to curb the menace of terrorism. To a query, Malik said that terrorists were the enemies of Islam and Pakistan and they would be dealt with an iron hand and the nation should be united to defeat them.
