RAWALPINDI - The hearing in former governor Punjab Salman Taseer murder case has been adjourned on Saturday till June 25, 2011 due to leave of Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Rawalpindi Number 2 Judge Syed Pervaiz Ali Shah. The last hearing of the case was held on April 30, 2011 in which Shujaur Rehman Advocate appeared for Malik Mumtaz Hussain Qadri, the self-confessed killer of governor, while Saiful Malouk Advocate represented the government. Meanwhile, scores of activists of religious parties, under the leadership of former MPA Fiaz-ul-Hassan Chohan, Syed Habib-ul-Haq Shah, Syed Shabbir Hussain Shah and Malik Abdul Rauf, organised a protest demonstration for the release of Malik Mumtaz Hussain Qadri outside Adyala Jail. They shouted slogans against the government and in favour of Malik Mumtaz Hussain Qadri. Former governor Salman Taseer was shot dead; as he was coming out from a restaurant located in Kohsar Market in Islamabad, by his own security guard and an employee of the Elite Force Mumtaz Qadri on January 4.
