LAHORE - Pakistan Railways Police in an anti-encroachment operation on Tuesday recovered 135 marlas commercial land of worth Rs120 million. The land had been recovered from the areas between Walton and Cantt Station. Railways Engineer Shahid Abbas and two PRP DSPs with staff conducted raids to recover land from land mafia. The PRP spokesperson said the operation had been conducted on the direction of the Railways Minister.

In another related development, the Railways staff and Food Authority conducted an operation at Lahore Railways Station against sale of adulterated food items and juices. The samples of the foods items had been sent to the laboratory and action would be taken against the owners of the shops if found the items contaminated.
