ISLAMABAD - Rehabilitation and upgradation of 43km Taxila-Khanpur-Haripur Highway and its completion would boost trade, tourism and industry and facilitate the people. This 43km federalized highway starts at Taxila on Peshawar Rawalpindi National Highway and reaches Khanpur and Haripur and this is an important link between Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, an official of National Highway Authority said on Tuesday. About seven kilometre portion of this highway falls in the Punjab.

 while 36 kilometers is in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and this project will cost Rs 2,854 million.
