Rawalpindi - Regional Police Officer (RPO) Wisal Fakhar Sultan Raja has expressed his dismay over police patrolling teams.

The police boss directed City Police Officer (CPO) Israr Ahmed Khan Abbasi and district police officers (DPOs) of the three districts to improve the night patrolling to curb anti-social elements and protect lives and properties of public. He issued these directions on Thursday while chairing a meeting held at his office to review the security arrangements being made to shield the mosques and other worship places during Ramazan.

The meeting was attended by CPO Israr Ahmed Khan Abbasi, SSP Operations Karamat Ullah Malik, Chief Traffic Officer (CTO)/SSP Shoaib Khurram Janbaz and DPOs of Jhelum, Attock and Chakwal.

The RPO termed the police patrolling as unsatisfactory and ordered police to improve night patrolling in the region. He asked all the police officers to depute well-armed cops in patrolling to curb crime from the region. “All the DSPs should personally monitor the patrolling so that the criminals can be dealt with an iron hand,” the RPO said.

Expressing his deep concern over rise in incidents of animal theft in Attock, Jhelum and Chakwal, the RPO was of view that the police should beef up security in these districts besides placing checkpoints to arrest thieves.
