SHEIKHUPURA: On the court order, police booked three vagabonds who had kidnapped and gang raped a girl of Mauza Moman at gunpoint in the limit of Safdarabad Police.
The victim, a student of Vocational Training School in Maoza Moman, was going to her house after studying. The girl was intercepted by two persons of the same village and Qamar Zaman took her on gunpoint to a place owned by their friend Zafar Iqbal Naeemi.
The accused after committing the offence dropped the victim near her house and escaped. The father of the victim approached the Safdarabad Police but he did not provide him justice. The aggravated family through a lawyer submitted a petition in the court and on its direction the Safdarabad Police registered the case against the accused and also obtained medico-legal certificate from the hospital. The SHO said that Muzamal and Qamar Zaman have been arrested while Zafar Iqbal would also be taken into custody shortly. The interrogation process was underway and on its completion further necessary action would be taken.–Staff Reporter
