MIRPUR (AJK)-Hurriyat leaders from Indian-Held Kashmir including Zaffar Akber Butt and Narrinder Singh Khalsa emphasised for the early peaceful settlement of Kashmir issue by ensuring the people’s right to self-determination without further delay.
The eminent Kashmiri hurriyat leaders from Srinagar were speaking at a roundtable hosted to accord reception to them by local APHC leader Aslam Mallick.
Zaffar Akber Butt and Narrinder Singh Khalsa thanked the people and the government of Pakistan for extending moral, political and diplomatic support to the Kashmiris’ indigenous struggle for freedom of the motherland from the Indian yoke and for early peaceful settlement of the much-prolonged issue in line with the aspirations of the people of Jammu & Kashmir. “We pay rich tributes to the people and the government of Pakistan for their unflinching support to Kashmiris struggle for liberation,” they added. Kashmir, they said, was not a territorial dispute between the two countries rather it involved the fate of 16 million people of Jammu & Kashmir State dwelling either side of the line of control and rest of the world.
They warned that any further delay in settlement of Kashmir issue could ignite a spark which could engulf not only South Asia but also the entire world. In such circumstances, Kashmir has turned a threat not only to the regional peace but also to the global peace, they declared.
The two Hurriyat leaders from occupied Kashmir further said that the freedom of occupied Jammu and Kashmir from the Indian subjugation was the one-point unanimous agenda of the people of entire Jammu & Kashmir state.
Narrinder Singh Khalsa said that the people of Indian-occupied Jammu & Kashmir state are fully unanimous and stand united over the prime collective cause of the achievement of the right to self determination, irrespective of caste, creed and religion. “So Kashmiris struggle for freedom and right to self-determination should not be assumed only to the Muslim population of the state,” he categorically declared.
Narrinder Singh said that besides the majority Muslim population of occupied Jammu & Kashmir, the people of the held state belonging to all other religions also stand united seeking early freedom of the motherland from Indian clutches and to achieve their legitimate right committed by the international community through the resolutions of United Nations Security Council.
Strongly condemning India’s nefarious move of inhibiting the non-state subject persons in the reported Sainak and Indian nationals colonies in Indian occupied Jammu Kashmir, he declared that every nefarious Indian move to breach the demography of occupied Jammu & Kashmir would be taken tooth and nail and will be frustrated by the people of occupied Kashmir with full vigour.
Singh called for early settlement of Kashmir issue under the spirit of the United Nations resolutions to pave the way for securing the safety of regional and global peace.
