Three robbers shot dead in two shootouts

/Agencies -KASUR/FAISALABAD-Three alleged robbers were killed in two separate shootouts occurred in different areas here on Saturday.
In Kasur, a notorious outlaw was allegedly killed by the firing of his own accomplices during a shootout with the police here on Saturday.
According to DPO Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, a man namely Abid made a call on emergency number 15, informing the police that four dacoits robbed him of motorcycle and Rs30,000 on Sirhali Road in Mustafabad Police precincts. The police asked the caller to stay where he was.
Suddenly the robbers started scuffling on the issue of distribution of booty and three robbers fired on one their accomplice and injured him badly. In the meanwhile, the police reached the spot and found an injured robber who received bullet injuries from his accomplices.
He identified himself as Maqsood alias Phatti Shaikh who had been involved in more than 22 cases of heinous crime in Kasur and Lahore districts. The DPO informed that the dacoit was proclaimed offender. Police recovered two motorcycles and Rs20,000 along with a pistol from him. He was shifted to hospital but succumbed to his injuries on the way.
In Faisalabad, two robbers were killed and two others managed to flee after exchange of fire with police here on Saturday.
The police said that during routine patrolling, the cops signalled to four persons, riding two motorcycles in People’s Colony. However, the suspects instead started firing on the policemen and attempted to flee.
The police retaliated with fire, leading to a shootout which lasted for quite some time. Resultantly two robbers were killed and their two accomplices managed to flee.
The dead bodies of robbers were shifted to Allied Hospital where their identity could not be ascertained yet
