FO Spokesperson condemns Afghan NSA's baseless insinuations against Pakistan

ISLAMABAD   -  Pakistan Friday snubbed Afghanistan over baseless allegations by National Security Adviser Hamdullah Mohib regarding Pakistan’s role on Afghan peace. Foreign Office spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhry said Pakistan “strongly condemns the baseless insinuations by NSA Hamdullah Mohib, alleging Pakistan’s involvement in the internal affairs of Afghanistan.”

He added: “Pakistan’s role in the Afghan peace process has been widely acknowledged by the international community.” Pakistan had previously conveyed to the leadership in Afghanistan it will no longer conduct official business with Kabul’s top national security chief because of his “abusive outburst” against Islamabad.
