LAHORE - M Huzaifa, Sami Zeb, M Talha Khan and Shaeel Durab reached the semifinals of boys singles U-18 of the 2nd PTF Development Series Junior National Ranking Tennis Tournament 2021 after beating their opponents at PTF Complex on Friday.
According to information made available here on Friday, Huzaifa routed Nalain Abbas 6-1, 6-2 in the first quarterfinal, while Sami thumped Abdul Hanan 6-1, 6-1 in the second one. The third quarterfinal saw Talha toppling Uzair Khan 6-2, 6-0 and Shaeel beating Faizan Fayyaz 5-7, 6-4, 6-1 in the fourth one.
In the girls singles U-16 semifinals, Amna Ali Qayum beat Zainab Raja 6-1, 6-2 while Sheeza Sajid beat Farah Shah 6-0, 6-0. In the boys singles U-16 quarterfinals, Huzaifa Khan beat Abdul Hanan 6-1, 6-0, Uzair Khan beat Hamza Aasim 6-3, 3-6, 6-2; Talha Khan beat Shaeel Durab 7-5, 6-0 and Asad Zaman beat Ahmed Nael 3-6, 6-4, 6-2. In the boys doubles U-16 semifinals, Huzaifa Khan/Talha Khan beat Talha Khan/Abdullah 6-0, 6-0, Ahmed Nael/Shaeel Durab beat Abdul Hanan/Asad Zaman 6-3, 6-3.
In the girls doubles U-16 semifinals, Sheeza/Zainab beat Amarah/Sara 6-0, 6-0 while Amna/Fatima beat Soha/Farah 6-3, 6-3. In the boys singles U-14 semifinals, Asad Zaman beat Ibrahim Ashraf 4-0, 4-1 while Hamza Roman beat Amir Mazari 4-1, 5-4(2). In the girls singles U-14 semifinals, Fatima Raja beat Mahrukh Sajid 4-0, 4-2 while Zunaisha Noor beat Soha Ali 1-4, 4-1, 4-0.
In the boys/girls singles U-12 quarterfinals, Nabeel Qayum beat Shayan Afridi 4-1, 2-4, 4-0, Amir Mazari beat Hamza Hussain 4-0, 4-1, Hamza Roman beat Haziq Aasim 4-1, 4-0 and Abdul Basit beat Abdur Rehman 4-1, 4-2. In the boys/girls doubles U-12 semifinals, Nabeel Qayum/Abdur Rehman beat Haziq/Basit 4-1, 4-2; Amir Mazari/Hamza Roman beat Shayan/Zohaib 4-1, 5-3. In boys/girls singles U-10 quarterfinals, Shayan Afridi beat Mahd Mahmood 4-1, 4-0, Abdur Rehman beat Zohaib 4-0, 4-2, Hajra Sohail beat Moazzam Babar 4-1, 4-2 and Ihsanullah Kabir beat Salaar 4-2, 4-2.
