Every time the President makes a speech from his safe bunker, the one line he always utters is, I am not afraid of death. This reminds one of the American comedian, Woody Allen, saying I am not afraid of death; I just dont want to be there when it happens. Asif Zardaris actions give a lie to his words, though. He says he is not afraid-'awaiting death as he said on March 16but then why is he clinging on, and with all his billions? Mr Zardari says he is just 'serving the humanity. Does he not know that the most wretched of humanity are found in Pakistan? Has he contributed even a small part of his fortune of billions to some bit of relief for them, just to set an example, nothing else? -GHAFOOR SHAD, Toba Tek Singh, March 18.
