KARACHI - Maheen Dada playing in boys/girls under 18 singles event grabbed semi final berth of JS bank Pakistan day tennis when she proved too good to her boy opponent Talha Abrar here on Sunday at Defence Authority Club.

The newly launched Sindh Tennis Players Association is organizing the championships. Since its inception six months ago the STPA has organized three events. Maheen won the well contested quarter final tie 6-3; 6-2. She perhaps is the only girl in the event which includes some of the best local junior. Her progress in the championships would be closely watched. She is expected to get tougher opposition in the pre finals.
