Adviser to Punjab ombudsman Kabir Ahmad Khan inaugurated cell of the Provincial Ombudsman's Office here the other day.  Speaking on the occasion, he said that cells of the Ombudsman's Office were being established in three districts - Kasur, Attock and Bahawalnagar to facilitate public. He informed that Masoodur Rasheed Joyia had been appointed as district adviser to the Punjab Ombudsman. He said that district adviser would be conferred with special powers and would carry out open door policy. He said that complaints against education and health departments were common as 100 cases of district Bahawalnagar had been laying pending with the Provincial Ombudsman's Office. The hearing of the cases will not be given more than three days. Later, tehsil advisers will also be appointed who will decide cases at tehsil level while at UC level officers will also be appointed. On the occasion, Bahawalnagar DCO Irshad Hussain and District Adviser to ombudsman office cell Masoodur Rasheed were also present.
