LAHORE - Police security has been intensified at the zoo on the premises of Prime Minister House at Jati Umrah in Raiwind after a wild-cat made his way and consumed a peacock, police sources said on Tuesday.
An inquiry has also been initiated to investigate how a wild-cat entered into the highly-guarded farmhouse. The police are also searching the zoo and its adjacent areas with the help of sniffer dogs.
Official sources said that no policeman has been suspended from service. However, he said that the security officials are probing into the incident. The security staff found a peacock missing on early Tuesday. They believe a wild-cat forced his entry into the zoo late on Monday night and ate up the peacock.
