The Kamalia Saddr Police will conduct the DNA test of a 40-year-old man who allegedly raped a nine-year-old girl in Mohallah Chah Fatehwala here the other day.

According to Kamalia Saddr Police SHO Rana Muhammad Afzal, the police have decided to conduct DNA test of the accused to establish rape charges. The minor (identity withheld) has been residing with her grandmother for the last three years. She was returning home from school when 40-year-old Anwar, a neighbour, took the girl to his house and raped her. The girl was under treatment in DHQ Hospital.

The Saddr Police have registered a rape case and started investigation.

15,000 SAPLINGS: The Education Department will plant 15,000 saplings in 305 government schools across the district during the current tree plantation drive, said EDO Education Muhammad Mansha Mayo. He said that 15 saplings would be planted in each of 92 primary and middle schools while remaining saplings would be supplied to secondary schools.
