LAHORE - Wapda and Sindh shared equal honours on the second day of the 61st National Cycling Championship by winning one gold medal each here on Tuesday in track and road events. Wapda won the 40 kilometre individual road time trial race through M Sabir who clocked 55 minutes, 55.49 seconds, followed by Habibullah of SSGC as Niamat Ali also from SSGC secured third. Sindh won the 500 metre time trial at cycling velodrome. Faisal of Sindh got the first position (00:00:41.67), Noor Rehman of Sindh stood second (00:00:43.90) while Tariq of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa won the third (00:00:45.05). Wapda, Army, SSGC and HEC qualified for the semi-final of the one kilometre team sprint. All the events were held under the supervision of PCF secretary Syed Azhar Ali Shah and PCA president Moazzam Khan.–Staff Reporter
