KARACHI - Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain has ruled out confrontation with Army and offers his support to armed forces fighting against the terrorism.
“I have no objection with the Rangers raid at the party headquarter Nine-Zero but they should have brought magistrate along and should have followed the laws,” he added.
He was addressing the party workers on 31st foundation day of MQM here on Wednesday.
Paying tribute to MQM martyrs, he said they were collecting the evidence and it would be made public soon. He claimed that he was struggling for the middle class people but it was unfortunate that armed forces , bureaucracy and others remained unpleased with his efforts. Alleging the TV channels’ owners involved in violation of laws, he said the concerned authorities never took action against these peoples as they belong or the members of the ruling elite class. He alleged that anchor persons and analysts on TV channels were stating lies during their programmes. He warned that the so-called group that is ruling the print and electronic media would be vanished from the screens after the revolution in Punjab and KPK. The analysts including the legal experts on various TV channels even declared the death plenty for him.
Altaf said Punjab was witnessing the injustice with the women. It is unfortunate that the country remained silent over the statement of a leader in a upper house parliament in which he stated that we have the trend to bury the women if found guilty.
Criticising Pakistan Tehreek Insaaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan, Altaf said the ‘Dharna Leader’ in his speeches declared Taliban his brothers and demanded the government to hold dialogues with Taliban leaders. “Injured Imran lying on the hospital bed put allegation on me for murdering PTI leader Zahra Shahid,” he added. “Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan also targeted me as it was an easy task but Nisar did not speak a single word over the Khwaja Asif statement on the assembly floor in which he threatened the armed forces .”
The protocol of JUI-F chief Fazalur Rehman carry heavy ammunition and other leaders were practicing the same for their security. Calling the Pakistan armed forces , he said PML-N celebrated its general election victory by aerial firing with latest and heavy ammunition but the Rangers took action against the MQM.
He offered the Pakistan Army of providing 5,000 MQM workers for the services in war against terrorism. “I criticised few of the army officials but never extended any threats. I always supported Pakistan Armed forces and I respect all. I am ready to fight along with the armed forces against the terrorists. Do not consider me as a traitor. I do not want any clash with Pak Army,” he added. “MQM is a liberal and democratic party. We do not have any space for the terrorist elements and if anyone found in any of such activities, he would be expelled from the party. I will make some important announcement on March 23.”
