RAHIM YAR KHAN
A PML-N member of Punjab Assembly along with his two accomplices allegedly gang raped a girl with the promise of providing her with educator’s job, saying the DCO was his uncle.
Saeeda Nadia Bashir, a resident of Khanpur, told city police that the MPA from PP-228 Pakpattan city was the owner of Ummar Floor Mills Rahim Yar Khan. The MNA along with Rana Naveed Ahmed had met with her two weeks back when she was present outside the office of district officer to check the merit list of educators, she said.
The “victim” said in her statement that Naveed gave his mobile number and said that the DCO was his uncle and he would get adjusted her in the final merit list. When she called him on Sunday evening, he asked her to meet him on Monday at 10am, she alleged.
She elaborated, “When I arrived in Rahim Yar Khan, Naveed asked me to come at Ummar Floor Mills by an auto rickshaw. Naveed led me a nearby house to meet his uncle DCO but there was no person in the house. Later, he left me alone in that house and went to take the DCO after locking the house. After half an hour, he came back with his two friends and gang raped me. They also made nude pictures and videos and threatened me that if I informed the police, the photos will be released on internet. But I reached city Adivision police station and got an FIR registered.” The police registered the FIR 179/15 Under Section 376 PPC.
PTI District President Rana Raheel in his press conference said that after an FIR, DPO did not order the arrest of the accused and he (DPO) would be answerable for the act. He said that was the real picture of the PML-N legislators. He said that when she was sent for medical test in Sheikh Zayed Medical College Hospital, its administration was pressured in preparing “fake” medical report contrary to the facts.
He further said that on one side, the PML-N MPA was involved in gang rape and on the other hand a PML-N MNA was establishing its illegal petrol pump on graveyard and land of passage.
When contacted, DPO Sohail Zafar Chattha said that he had recorded the girl’s statement on video in the presence of 15 people. He said that there was contradiction in her statement because her mobile call record not matches with her mentioned calls.
Doctors in their medical report said that there was no mark of sexual violence on her body, he said. “Without evidence, we will not arrest anybody. Now, she has escaped without completing another medical test and says that now she will approach chief minister Punjab for an inquiry into the issue,” he concluded.
