ISI report on Faizabad sit-in incomplete, unsatisfactory: SC

Supreme Court has rejected ISI’s report on Faizabad Sit-in which was organized by the religious parties last year.

The Supreme Court of Pkistan has showed its concerns over the report and remarked IsI's report on Faizabad sit-in is incomplete and unsatisfactory.

Justice Qazi Faez Isa stated, "this report is frightening him as it has failed to answer the questions which were earlier asked by the SC".

Justice Isa has also remarked that a journalist if asked, could submit a report with more details than the report that has been presented by ISI.

Colonel Falak Naz has represented the ministry of defence in the hearing.

On the question about the profession of Khadim Hussain Rizvi, leader of Tehrik-e-Labaik Ya Rasullah(TLYRA), Colonel Falak Naz said, "Khadim Rizvi delivers religious sermons and mostly rely on the donations given to him and his organisation."

Justice Isa then remarked that it should be mentioned in the next report and adjourned the hearing for two weeks.

Attorney General is also summoned by the court in next hearing.

Moreover, an anti-terrorism court (ATC) has ordered to arrest of Khadim Rizvi and Afzal Qadri in Faizabad sit-in.

During the hearing, ATC has ordered to arrest the Rizvi and Afzal Qadri and presented to the court at the next hearing on 4 April.

Earlier on March 5th, ATC has declared Khadim Rizvi as absconders as they failed to appear before the court.

"If the accused did not produce in the court within the next 30 days they will be declared as proclaimed offenders", the court stated.
