Mujahid Anwar Khan appointed as new PAF chief

Air Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan Friday took over the command of Pakistan Air Force at Air Headquarters in Islamabad.

Former Air Chief Marshal, Sohail Aman, handed over the Command Sword to the newly appointed Air Chief and he was also decorated with ranks of Air Chief Marshal by former ACM Sohail Aman.

Earlier, Sohail Aman was given Guard of Honor by the PAF contingent and JF-17 thunder aircraft. He was received by Air Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan in the ceremony.  

While speaking at the occasion, Sohail Aman said, "It was the matter of honor for me to serve the Pakistan Air Force. During the past few years we have fortified our country’s defence. And in the war against terrorism PAF has contributed a lot and played a significant role."

Moreover, he said that PAF is now equipped with modern warfare technology.

Government of Pakistan had appointed Air Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan as new Air Chief on Friday 16 when ACM Sohail Aman completed his tenure.
