Proclaimed offender held

Lahore : National Highways & Motorway Police, Central Zone arrested a proclaimed offender and recovered illegal weapons, money, goats, mobile phones from him on national highways near Khanewal.  As per details, during routine patrol on Beat 18 Motorway, police officers Rauf and Muadser Hussain observed a suspicious rickshaw. They tried to stop the rickshaw on national highways but driver ignored the stop sign and tried to escape.

The patrol officers chased the said vehicle and successfully managed to stop it. They arrested one criminal namely Waseem resident of Khanewal. On search of rickshaw, three goats, Rs45,300, two mobile phones and a 30 bore pistol with five live rounds.

On the directions of Sector Commander / SSP Ghulam Jaffer, the arrested culprit along with the recovered articles were handed over to local police for further legal action. The local police disclosed about the criminals as most notorious proclaimed offender and wanted in many cases. Zonal Commander DIG Ahmad Arslan Malik has appreciated the professionalism and bravery performance of patrolling officer.
