The Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan has warned today that those who are facilitating Rao Anwar and others accused in Naqeebullah murder case will not be spared.

According to the media reports, a three-judge bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Saqib Nisar began hearing the suo motu of Naqeebullah Mehsud’s extrajudicial killing.

During the hearing, CJP stated, “if Anwar surrenders he will be protected”.

Sindh Inspector General of Police AD Khwaja told the court that Anwar was provided with a boarding pass of a private airline.

The Chief Justice then summoned the relevant officials of the airline.

Earlier the decamped SSP Malir Rao Anwaar in the fake encounter and killing of Naqeebullah Mehsud wrote another letter to Supreme Court. Rao Anwar requested in his letter to Supreme Court that his frozen bank accounts should be impounded.

Chief Justice, Saqib Nisar, hearing the murder case under his suo motu notice said that the letter is yet to be confirmed whether it is sent by Rao Anwaar or not.

But the letter is included in the record of the court. The abscounded SSP had previously sent a letter to Supreme Court stating that he is innocent.

On January 13, 2018, Anwar killed an innocent named Naseemullah Mehsud Alias along with three others in a ‘staged encounter’ with the Malir police.
