Four new Ehsaas Kafalat centers established in Faisalabad district

FAISALABAD   -  Four new Ehsaas Kafalat centers have been established in the district for providing assistance to deserving registered women under Ehsaas Kifaalat Programme.


This was stated by Deputy Commissioner Ali Shehzad while visiting Ehsas Kafalat Centers here on Friday.


He said that these centers have been established at Sports Complex Samanabad, Dijkot, Khurrianwala and Mamukanjan. He said that nine disbursement and six registration centers were already functional in the district. Five extra counters of HBL has also been established at Ehsaas center outside Metropolitan Corporation, he added.


He urged the management of Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) to work with HBL to take effective measures to increase the number of counters in these centers. He said that immediate plans should be made to provide speedy services to the women waiting for the registration process.  Earlier, the DC went to Sports Complex Samanabad and checked the availability of place for establishing new Ehsas center and directed the AC and BISP incharge to take immediate measures for setting up center.  The DC also visited Al-Fatah Sports Complex Saleemi Chowk, Djikot Road Sports Complex and Ehsas Kafalat Center outside Metropolitan Corporation and checked all the arrangements.


Over 7.89m people vaccinated against COVID-19 in Faisalabad


Over 7.89 million people have so far been vaccinated against COVID-19 in the district.  District Health Officer Dr Ataul Mun’im said on Friday that 4,558,716 people were injected first dose while 3,258,900 were administered the second dose of vaccine.


He said that 39,841 health workers were also given first dose while 37,149 received the second dose of vaccine. He said that sufficient stock of coronavirus vaccine was available in the district.  As of now 218,020 first doses and 145,347 second doses were in the stock in Faisalabad. He said that 37 vaccination centers and 20 mobile vaccination camps were operational in Faisalabad where registered people were being vaccinated.


In order to facilitate the people these centers had been established in various areas of the city including Allied Hospital, District Head Quarters Hospital, Government General Hospital G.M Abad, Faisalabad Institute of Cardiology, Government General Hospital Samanabad, Children Hospital, sports Complex Samanabad, Tehsil Head Quarters Hospital Jaranwala, Samundri, Tandlianwala, Chak Jhumra, Sports Complex Chak Jhumrah, Sports Complex Jaranwala.
